In celebration of Nutrition Month 2025, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department (NDD) of Asia Pacific Medical Center Iloilo (APMCI) proudly showcased its commitment to the fight against food and nutrition insecurity through a series of meaningful and engaging activities.
Kicking off the event was an inspiring message from our esteemed guest speaker, Ms. Juric Liny Linaugo, Supervisor of the Nutrition and Dietetics Program at the University of San Agustin, who shared her insights on the importance of community involvement, inter-sectoral collaboration, and sustainable practices in achieving nutrition security for all.
As part of the celebration, the NDD launched a vibrant vegetable selling booth, promoting support for local farmers and encouraging the community to choose fresh and nutritious food. This initiative reflects the department’s deep-rooted commitment to sustainable nutrition and food access.
The event also featured a Healthy Snack Bar, offering delicious and nourishing snack options for employees and guests — a perfect example of how nutritious food can also be enjoyable.
To make the celebration more engaging, participants enjoyed surprise raffles and interactive games, spreading awareness and enthusiasm for the cause of nutrition for all.
Through this celebration, the NDD of APMCI reaffirmed its mission to advocate for food equity, health empowerment, and nutrition security in Iloilo City and beyond.
